I was stoked that this book was out there when I heard about it. It's a pretty good resource. After playing w/ technique from Cavies(Mac) style to SCV(Gusseck) style, and just from drumming for almost 10 years, I had pretty much arrived at this style or "method" on my own and of course wanted to see what a Dr. in Percussion could contribute to enrich what I know. I was expecting a little more in depth coverage of every aspect of this method. But it is a great resource for me to use with my students, as I have not yet put how I approach drumming into so concise a format as this yet. It could use some editing for spelling and wording errors, some in depth explanation of why and how each exercise utilizes this method, some more external sources for example and explanation sake, and paring down so it less resembles a term paper (double spacing and the way the thoughts are laid out).
Overall, it's a good resource, a little pricey for the content (double spaced and full of "exercises") but worth checking out.
Thanks Dr. Jackson
