Colleyville Heritage concert featuring Marco Minnemann!!!

The Colleyville Heritage High School percussion program is pleased to present its 2010 spring program. This year’s concert will feature two distinctly separate evenings of percussion.

On Friday, March 5th, the high school percussion studio will present their classical ensembles. Both chamber and large ensembles will be featured by all of the CHHS band percussion sections.
Friday night’s program will include the following works:

Ballet- Debussy
Passage- Glassock
Reverie- Debussy
Xylophonia- Green
Fear Cage- Gay
Spanish Waltz- Green
Marimba Quartet- Levitan
The Miraculous Mandarin- Bartok
Omphalo Centric Lecture- Westlake
Vespertine Formations- Deane
Marimba Heritage- Ford

On Saturday evening, the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students from Heritage and Colleyville middle school will perform their ensembles, followed by the high school students sharing the stage with internationally-recognized guest artist, Marco Minnemann in a full scale “pops” concert. Saturday night’s program will include the following works with Marco Minnemann:

Mujer Latina- Santander
Servitude- Jones
It’s Raining on the Pyramids- Lawrence
Contemporary Insanity- Rosenthal
Beelzebub- Bruford
Improvisation- Minnemann

Both evenings will take place at 7 pm in the Colleyville Heritage High School auditorium.
Tickets for the event are $12, and include both nights. Proceeds from the concert benefit the Colleyville Heritage High School band program.

In addition, Marco Minnemann will be giving a clinic in the CHHS band hall on Saturday morning, March 6th at 10 am. Tickets are $6, and available only at the door.
